Review
Zool 2STORY / GAMEPLAY
Zool 2 is the sequel to the great Zool platform game and is very similar in gameplay but with more detailed graphics. Zool 2 also includes the option to choose Zooz (Zool's female counterpart) and play. Upon choosing either of the two intergalactic ninjas (Zool or Zooz) you romp through the "Nth" (Ninth) dimension in an effort to defeat Krool and his army. Comparably, Zool is faster and has better jumping abilities while Zooz has the advantage of carrying a deadly whip. The gameplay is pretty tough though, as you may easily lose energy when accidentally jumping on enemies. Zool 2 also features several mini games like a Breakout spoof that features Zool's two-headed pet dog as a paddle. The Commodore Amiga Zool version is the lead format for the creation of Zool 2 game but, unlike the first Zool, this sequel was not widely converted to many platforms. Actually the only Zool 2 console version was exclusively released for the Atari Jaguar.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The Atari Jaguar game is colorful and features great visuals, nicely drawn backgrounds and smooth sprite animation, although it seems inferior to the original Commodore Amiga AGA 1993 version (at least in terms of details and framerate!) Comparisons aside, the Jaguar version plays like charm and offers great fun! The game's sound is also great and features the original Amiga in-game music along with a variety of some funny and cool, sampled sound effects! Overall, the Jag's Zool is a very decent version. version!
